Objectives

  • The course aims to train the trainee on:• Familiarity with the different types of cranes and safety instructions for their operation.• Learn about the types of lifting devices and follow safety instructions.

By the end of the course, the trainee will be able to acquire knowledge and tools that enable him to familiarize himself with:• Hazards and causes of accidents when using cranes.• Types of cranes and their main parts.• Safety requirements when installing and operating cranes according to OSHA standards.• Read the load charts.• How to check and inspect cranes before entering the workplace and during operations.• How to inspect slings such as steel chains, wire ropes, synthetic fibers ropes, and metal mesh slings.• General safety requirements during various rigging processes and load calculations.
