This intensive course equips aspiring and existing vessel emergency service professionals with the advanced knowledge and skills needed to navigate critical situations at sea. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of diverse marine emergencies, hone their coordination abilities across various stakeholders, master port and emergency response procedures (including oil spills), delve into the intricacies of marine insurance and P&I clubs, and grasp the significance and legal implications of investigating marine incidents. By course end, you'll be empowered to confidently respond to challenges and ensure the safety of vessel, crew, and environment.
• Day 1: Understanding and Responding to Marine Emergencies• Module 1: Types of Marine Emergencies: Fires, groundings, collisions, medical emergencies, pollution incidents, etc.• Module 2: Emergency Response Plans and Procedures: International regulations, company plans, ISM Code regulatory requirements, risk assessments, and drills.• Day 2: Mastering Marine Emergencies: Communication, Analysis, and Procedures• Module 3: Coordination and Communication: Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including ship owners, charterers, port authorities, and response agencies.• Module 4: Case Studies: Analyzing real-world marine emergencies and discussing response strategies.• Module 5: Marine Terminology and Procedures: Understanding key terms and protocols related to port operations, cargo handling, and emergency response.• Day 3: Navigating Emergencies: Oil Spills, Insurance & Legal Implications• Module 6: Oil Spill Response: Techniques, equipment, and regulat
