At the end of the Capacity Building Program, participants will be able to:- Identify the importance of MLC2006. - Encourage their country to ratify the convention. - Be familiar with the requirements of the convention which are: o Minimum requirements. o Conditions of employment. o Accommodation, Recreational Facilities, Food & Catering o Health protection, Medical Care, Welfare & Social Security Protection.
Desiring to create a single, coherent instrument embodying as far as possible all up to date standards of existing International Maritime Labour conventions and recommendations, this Capacity Building Program aims to provide knowledge on the requirements of the International Labour Organization Maritime Labour Convention (MLC2006), which is entered into force in 2013.
