• Deliver basic training for PSC officers and seafarers

Outcomes

The objectives of this Capacity Building Program are to give deeper and sufficient knowledge, training, application and promoting skills of port state control inspection and give deeper awareness of inspection procedures to satisfy the following: - Seafarers to be trained for maintaining the ship in proper operating conditions and fit for service and to be able to cooperate with the PSC officer for the benefit of safety and environmental protection. - PSC officers to be trained for inspection procedures and its objectives.

Course Contents

IMO International Conventions give the right to Contracting Governments to inspect foreign ships visiting national ports. Port state control practices the given right to verify that foreign ships are seaworthy. Therefore, this Capacity Building Program should be conducted to ensure that attendees are aware for the basic verification requirements. Therefore, Capacity Building Program should be conducted to ensure the effectiveness roles implementation and jurisdiction control of PSC.
