Objectives

• By the end of this program, the candidate will be able to command as:-Master of <24m vessel up to 60 nautical miles offshore-Chief Mate of 200 ton vessel up to 100 nautical miles offshore-Master or Chief Mate according to size of vessel and offshore distance day or night and under any weather conditions.

Outcomes

-Candidates cover 1000 nautical miles at sea including 2 days as watch skipper and 12 hours underway on watch at nigh as per international requirements

The program covers subjects such as navigational charts and publications, position fixing, tides, tidal levels and data, pilotage, safety at sea, voyage planning, meteorology, practical seamanship skills and communication
