Objectives

  • On Completion of the course, students should satisfactory understand and be able to achieve their duties and responsibilities as Marine Pilots towards all parties involved in any Pilotage operation (The ship's Master, the Harbor Master, the Berth Master, the tug Masters, the ship's crew, the mooring gang, and the boat skippers, from the moment of receiving the task till having the job done

• Understand and be able to explain the value of Bridge Teamwork, sharing the workload, and how to build good teamwork with ship's crew on board, thus enhancing safety and efficiency.• Realize the information to get before the operation, the checks to be done before and after boarding the ship, and what to be passed to the ship's Master to end with a safe operation.
