Objectives

  • This course aims to improve understanding of behavior in organization and the ability to lead people to achieve more effectively toward increased organizational performance-Understanding individual behavior in organizations, including diversity, attitudes, , emotions, moods, personality, values, perception, decision making, and motivational theories. - Understanding group behavior in organizations, including communication, leadership, power and politics, conflict, and negotiations. -Understanding the organizational system, including organizational structures, culture, and change.

Outcomes

• Identify the relation between dependent and independent variables in OB • Analyze individual and group behavior.• Understand the implications of organizational behavior on the process of management. • Identify different motivational theories and evaluate motivational strategies used in a variety of organizational settings. • Evaluate the appropriateness of various leadership styles and conflict management strategies used in organizations. • Describe and assess the basic design elements of organizational structure and evaluate their impact on employees. • Explain how organizational change and culture affect working relationships within organizations.• Appreciate the role of communication • Identify major ethical issues in Human Resource Policies and Practices
