Objectives

  • To familiarize students with the judicial legal process and reasoning; To examine fundamental issues of employment law, in; the various rights, duties and responsibilities employees and employers have towards each other and the general public. Additional issues may, time willing, include worker protections such as the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and Worker’s Compensation. To provide students with the tools for further study of employment law.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner should be able to:• Describe equal employment opportunity and the employee relations with organizations in legal frame.• Understand issues related to the local labor law (law 12 for 2003).• Designing supportive ER policies and procedures• Correct unclear perspectives about fair treatment in HR management. • Develop work contracts.• Solve real cases related to employee relation management.
