Objectives

  • - Develop students' abilities with a specific purpose to ensure their language knowledge and how to be able to use it outside the classroom- Engage students' interest by offering them a twist to familiar topics that reflect students' needs and interests- Encourage active participation in learning by guiding them to observe structures in context to figure out language use and form independently

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Students can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:- Read different articles about statistics and identify key phrases describing family using the present perfect tense- Give opinions and agree/disagree property rental listening - Understand the gist and match dialogues to photosWriting and Speaking topics:- Write about opinions and comparisons; ordering arguments- Make generalizations using auxiliary verbs- Retell a simple narrative in their own words- Talk about future possibilities using adjectives and compound nouns- Write a family time essay
