Objectives

  • - Provide a syllabus that helps and develops students’ oral skills.- Grow students' critical thinking abilities.- Develop students' abilities to express their opinions through various tasks. - Advance students' aptitude to make decisions and consider their consequences.- Teach students the functional language needed to accept or reject an opinion.- Develop students’ critical thinking skills in listening and responding to the content.- Develop students’ speaking skills by expanding argumentative skills after holding a group discussion.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Students Should be able to do the following:• Greet and introduce themselves to others in a formal and informal situation. • Describe a person, or a place.• Recount a personal experience or an event. • Read / watch / listen then respond orally. • Use the grammatical points introduced to express an intended meaning. • Participate in presentations, role-plays activities.• Routine a certain functional language according to its appropriate situation.
