Objectives

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Learners can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:• understand lengthy, complex instructions in his field, including details on conditions and warnings.• Use collocations from reading texts in the spoken language.• Softening advice or recommendations.• Listen for specific information in a wide variety of stories and reviews.• Understand specialized articles outside his/her field.Writing and Speaking topics:• Express his/her ideas and opinions with precision, present and respond to complex lines of argument.• Give strong opinions and conflicting ones about various areas of discussions.• Write an essay or report that develops an argument with appropriate relevant supporting details.• Revise and practice narrative tenses in story-telling. • Give a clear, systematically developed presentation, with highlighting of significant points, and relevant supporting details.
