Objectives

• • Provide students with vocabulary related to various lessons.• Provide students with grammar reference of different structures and patterns.• Broaden students' awareness of language usage in everyday spoken situations.• Develop students' listening for inferring information.• Guide students to listen for nuances in the spoken language.

By the end of this course, Learners can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:• Complete many practice exercises related to videos.• Revise familiar structures in meaningful contexts.• Explain in detail the content of listening topics.• Personalize various communicative tasks on different themes.• Identify specific information in simple material like TV news and brochures. Writing and Speaking topics:• Complete exercises based on various grammar points.• Reporting the news.• Carry out a discourse-level practice of language about various themes.• Give a short, rehearsed presentation on a topic pertinent to everyday life.• Briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions, plans and action.• Explain likes or dislikes about something.• Writing a short paragraph using auxiliary verbs.• Make and respond to invitations, suggestions and apologies.
