Outcomes

By the end of this course, Learners can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:• Answer comprehension questions of various reading texts• Making notes from voicemails• Summarize the content of different listening texts and passages• Recognize features of natural speech in recordings• Recognize the stress and intonation in various pronunciation tasks• Participate in role-plays, discussions and problem-solving activitiesWriting and Speaking topics:• Take part in routine formal discussion of familiar subjects• Write short, simple essays on topics of interest • Write a review about an event• Discuss reasons of a problem, what to do, compare and contrast alternatives• Write clear, detailed descriptions on a variety of subjects related career goals statement • Write passages using symbols, abbreviations and formal language
