Objectives

  • • Encourage the students to share their experiences and involvements in different decision-making styles.• Demonstrate how to insert new words into sentences on the board if required.• Expand students' learning skills by enriching students’ critical thinking and formulating their opinions independently through different reading texts.• Develop students' writing skills in producing coherent paragraphs.• Develop students' self-confidence to express his/her ideas and opinions with precision.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Learners can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:• Read various texts intensively at a word, sentence and paragraph level• Prepare clear explanations of notes• Obtain information, ideas and opinions from highly specialized reading sources• Review grammatical points in the comparison and contrast of different texts. • Analyze various authentic listening texts in terms of common collocations and expressions.Writing and Speaking topics:• Write the key points of a story• Rewrite sentences so that the new ones include a definition for the new expressions• Hold a conversation using adjectives and adverbs to talk about various topics and issues.• Write a letter using formal language.• Write a review explaining and describing something.• Manage a discussion and come to a conclusion.• Talk about visual types of information through a variety of charts and images.• Form different types of simple and complicated questions used in communication
