Objectives

  • • Introduce students to the target grammar in realistic reading or listening context.• Focus on a guided inductive presentation that uses examples from the texts.• Draw the students attention to common learner errors in the use of the new structure.• Enable the students to apply and confirm there inferences from the Analyze stage and gives them controlled practice in the use of the target grammar

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Learners can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:- Use the vocabulary items in a controlled practice activity- Employ the structure from the model in the production task - Analyze and use text organization to aid understanding- Use and understand negative questions and understand object complementsWriting and Speaking topics:• Prepared for different speaking tasks and group discussion• Correctly use intonation to convey attitude• Write short ad for an item• Use hedging phrases to express polite opinions• Outline an essay before writing it
