Objectives

  • • Explore students' advanced grammar skills and functions communicatively• Develop students' advanced reading skills of various texts• Review grammatical items that help in communication• Analyze various authentic reading texts in terms of common collocations and expressions• Develop students' advanced listening skills to interviews, conversations, monologues and unscripted role plays

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Learners can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:- understand recordings encountered in social, professional or academic life and identify speaker viewpoints and attitudes- understand documentaries, live interviews, talk shows- Identify the main conclusions in clearly argumentative texts- understand in detail what is said to him/her in the standard spoken language even in a noisy environment Writing and Speaking topics:• Give oral presentations to the exchange of ideas and experiences• Write a formal online message• Give reasons and explanations for opinions, plans and actions• Writing using linking expressions / informal language / reporting verbs / fixed expressions / past modals• Rehearse various structured speaking activities in pairs or smaller groups• Carry out a prepared interview
