Objectives

• - Develop learners' basic reading skills.- Provide learner's with appropriate language to ask questions.- Develop learners' basic communicative skills.- Provide learners with a grammar reference for basic rules- Develop learners' basic listening skills to different accents.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Learners can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:• Identify numbers, days and months• Understand and follow simple directions• Recognize familiar names, places and very simple sentences• Guess the meaning of words from the context.• Read short texts related to different real-life situations Writing and Speaking topics:• Explain basic words related to different topics.• Introduce themselves to others• Describe a place• Give Information about his/her family• Writing skill: capital letters / contractions / pronouns• Describe pictures in basic sentences.• Recognize correct spelling and punctuation • Recognize the different sounds of vowels and consonants
