  • • Explain various instructional design models• Determine whether training is the best solution for transferring knowledge, affecting behavioral change, or achieving some other organizational objective• Select an appropriate design framework for their projects• Craft training objectives• Design activities that are in alignment with best practices in adult learning• Create a range of experiential learning activities• Build a program map• Develop appropriate training support materials• Incorporate assessments into their work• Evaluate pilot programs and make appropriate adjustments based on that feedback.

Outcomes

By the end of this course you should be able to: • develop effective learning outcomes (at the course and program level),• design suitable assessment strategies and determine acceptable evidence of student learning• Plan instructional activities and learning experiences that are likely to ensure the achievement of your identified learning outcomes.

Course Contents

1. Before training begins Most design decisions must be made before the first session of the course. These decisions relate to these basic areas: A. The content to include B. The delivery methods to use C. The time allocated for each of the goals D. The tools for assessing participant learning2. During the training session As you conduct the training, we will learn more about the participants and their needs. This information may require adjustments in the course design. For example, after working with the group, we may decide to: E. Change the time allocation for a particular topic F. Change the type of activity associated with a particular topic, for instance, from an individual to a group activity or vice versa3. At the conclusion of the session The information we gather at the conclusion of a training session will help us assess the effectiveness of the current training and help improve future training sessions. To evaluate the course: G. Use appropriate evaluation to
