The course is an introduction to business and its relation to the society. It introduces students to the basic concepts and principles of business enterprises while considering social and ethical issues. Economic forces affecting businesses, international business, forms of business organizations, franchising and small businesses are among the topics to be covered. It also exposes the students to the management functions of planning, organizing, staffing, leading, motivating, and controlling.
