Objectives

• - Develop students' communication strategies to participate in a group discussion- Summarize information from different listening tasks- Provide students with a word bank of terms and vocabulary items- Use learned strategies to identify the topic, the main idea, and support details to interpret short narrative or descriptive passages on familiar topics

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Students can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:• Skim for main ideas and understand meaning from the context• Practice relevant, high-frequency vocabulary in various contextualized exercises• Summarize paragraphs in reading texts in terms of common collocations and expressionsWriting and Speaking topics:• Write an essay including a contrasting idea• Talking about Shopping and sports• Write an articles using comparison to explain opinion
