Objectives

• - Expand students' learning skills effectively by teaching critical thinking and formulating their opinion independently through different reading passages- Develop students' abilities in writing proficient and coherent paragraphs- Familiarize the students with different highly developed syllabus that helps and develop student's four language skills- Provide students with controlled practice in using language functions in various situations

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Students can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:• Skim for main ideas and scan for specific information.• Analyze various authentic reading texts in terms of common collocations and expressions.• Summarize information from different audio materials.• Listen for specific information in a wide variety of stories and reviews.• Produce appropriate vocabulary and grammatical forms.Writing and Speaking topics:• Write an essay using topic sentences and supporting them with examples.• Express his/her ideas and opinions with precision and respond to complex lines of argument after holding a group discussion.• Give a clear, systematically developed presentation, with highlighting of significant points, and relevant supporting detail.
