Outcomes

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:Listening:• listen to various conversations for main ideas and smaller details and for making inferences.• Assessing the credibility of a news article.• Follow generally the main points of extended discussion around him/her, provided speech is clearly articulated in standard dialect.Speaking:• participate in various debates and critical thinking activities.• practice common expressions in short, functional contexts.• Make his/her opinions and reactions understood as regards solutions to problems or practical questions.• Take some initiatives in an interview/consultation.• Give reasons and explanations for opinions, plans and actions.• Complete structural tasks on relative and conditional clauses.
