Objectives

  • - Develop students reading skills of short texts.- Develop Students listening skills to short conversation - Provide students with pronunciation tips- Produce every day expressions aimed at the satisfaction of very simple needs - Develop students speaking skills of giving general remarks on speakers.- Interact in a simple way but communication is totally dependent on repetition at a slower rate of speech, rephrasing and repair

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Learners can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:• Give synonyms and antonyms for various vocabulary items.• Read sentences and rephrase them in their own way.• Read sentences and fill in the gaps with appropriate words.• Skim through text to choose correct answers• Listen to short conversations and fill in the gaps Writing and Speaking topics:• Explain captions related to pictures.• Carry out basic writing tasks • Ask questions and give appropriate answers• Revise basic grammar points.• Ask and answer very simple questions, initiate and respond to simple familiar topics• Give information about discoveries• Writing a paragraph about trips• Write an email / a travel advice / a blog / an invitation
