Objectives

• - Develop student's four language skills by familiarizing the students with different highly developed vocabulary items and expressions- Expand students' learning skills by enriching students’ critical thinking and formulating their opinions independently through different reading texts- Develop students' writing skills in producing coherent paragraphs- Develop students' self-confidence to express his/her ideas and opinions with precision - Develop students’ speaking skills by expanding argumentative skills after holding a group discussion

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Students can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:• Analyze various authentic reading texts and identify the main ideas and major details• Participate in different types of tasks by comprehending a reading text using missing sentences and linking words • Use appropriate expressions such as determiners and quantifiers• Listen to some tasks and be able to take notes summarizing what they have heardWriting and Speaking topics:• Conduct a conversation comparing issues using adjectives and adverbs• Write a letter using formal and informal language• Write a review explaining and describing something such as a book, film, etc• Manage a discussion and come to a conclusion
