Objectives

  • - Developing students critical thinking skills by providing opportunities to read many graded readers and engaging them in a combination of textual activities to assist them in returning to the texts in thoughtful ways.- Develop students’ written expression of thought and provide learners opportunities to explore ideas and to build connections between content areas .- Developing students’ oral communication skills by a variety of communication activities ,from informal discussion to formal presentation.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Students can do the following:- Students can express agreement and disagreement and produce evidence to support and sustain an argument .- Students can follow and respond to change in tone and direction during the interview.- Students can write a variety of essays following the structure taught in class in a clear , organized and sophisticated way
