Objectives

  • • Enhancing students reading skills by exposing them to a wide variety of reading texts suitable to their age.• Expanding vocabulary of the students by introducing them to a large collection of words through the word bank.• Developing listening and speaking skills by engaging the students in a variety of listening activities which aim at recognizing stress patterns in real life context that catch the students’ attention . • Developing writing skills by exposing them to topics related to their daily lives and encouraging them to describe pictures suitable to their age group.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Students will be able to:• Read different reports about jobs and identify key phrases describing people using the present tense• Retell stories including key details.• Exchange information about their families• Ask and answer questions about what people can do.• Write descriptive texts with guidance and support from their teachers.• Express ideas in proper sequence • Use polite expressions in appropriate ways.
