Objectives

• - Provide students with a word bank of terms and vocabulary items.- Develop the students' listening strategies for comprehending academic passages.- Develop the students' skills in presenting and understanding different points of view through analyzing different reading and listening activities.- Ensure systematic progress in students' language level.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, Students can do the following:Reading and Listening topics:- Skim for information after being exposed to a variety of reading passages.- Listen to some audio materials discussing different issues and being able to analyze and answer questions related to it.- Eliminate obviously wrong options given from an audio task.- Use verb sentences to help them make their choices.Writing and Speaking topics:- Write grammatically correct sentences using causative and passive forms- Talking about different kinds of entertainment- Discuss and contrast ideas and come to a conclusion- Write a report laying out facts and using headings
