Objectives

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the learners will be able to:• Explain the purpose of accounting in terms of providing useful financial information.• Analyze and journalize business transactions using double-entry accounting system, post journal entries to accounts, and prepare trial balance.• Analyze existing account balances; prepare end-of-period adjusting and closing entries and a post-closing trial balance.• Apply the steps in the accounting cycle to merchandising operations.
