Objectives

• On completion, successful students will able to:• Understand the purpose of an OH&S management system including the principles of hazard identification, risk assessment, risk control and compliance with legal and other requirements as described in OHSAS 18001.• Understand the purpose of OH&S management system standards, of management system audit and of third-party certification.• Understand auditor role and responsibilities, and acquire the skills of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow-up an occupational management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021.
