• On completion, successful students will able to:• Understand the purpose of an environmental management systems standard, of a management system audit and third-party certification, and the business and societal benefits of improving environmental performance.• Understand the role and responsibilities and acquire the skills of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow-up an environmental management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021.

Course Contents

Delegates will know how Environmental Management System (EMS) provides organizations with a systematic approach to environmental improvement. Delegates will learn to use the international EMS standard ISO 14000 as the framework for environmental improvement, sustainability programs, carbon-reduction strategies, environmental compliance and operational efficiencies. This course covers in-depth the for auditing the requirements of ISO 14001 standard.
