Abstract
Overall Aim:
To promote tourism-led heritage development by enhancing the management and valorisation of cultural heritage sites through innovative higher education programs, research, and international cooperation among universities in the EU, Egypt, and Tunisia.
Strategic Focus:
- Sustainable heritage management and cultural tourism.
- Circular economy and green deal principles.
- Inclusive education, capacity building, and employability.
- Cross-sectoral collaboration (academia, tourism industry, heritage authorities, and local communities).
Main Deliverables (Intellectual Outputs):
- Intensive Study Programs in six universities.
- Case study–based learning on overlooked heritage sites.
- Guiding manuals for each case study.
- Detailed heritage site factsheets.
- Establishment of the TOURITAGE micro-lab.
- Final international exhibition & forum.
