Project: Enhancing Higher Education in MENA through Digital Twin Innovation E TWIN

Abstract

The eTWIN project enhances digital competencies and capacities of Higher Education Institutions HEIs in the MENA region Egypt and Tunisia leveraging expertise from EU HEIs France and Italy
Over three years academic and industrial partners will develop integrate and disseminate digital twin technologies in higher education

Key impacts include

  • Modernization of curricula aligned with labor market needs
  • Strengthened international cooperation
  • Promotion of innovation sustainability and strategic partnerships between academia and industry
  • Contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals SDGs

    • 4 labs across Egypt and Tunisia AASTMT GIU UT UGaf
    • Baseline 0 Target 4

    2 Modernize Curricula and Training

    • 8 modernized modules 2 new modules 2 placement modules
    • Baseline 0 Target 12 modules total

    3 University Industry Collaboration

    • Host industrial tests and demos
    • Train 32 staff and 40 students
    • Generate real world project ideas for UG and PG students

    4 Mobility and Knowledge Transfer

    • EU exchanges site visits training of trainers
    • Enhance employability and staff expertise in digital twin technologies
    • Baseline 0 Target 24 mobilities

    5 Inclusivity and Accessibility

    • Support women in engineering disadvantaged groups and persons with disabilities

    Ensure equitable access to labs curricula and mobility opportunities
