AASTMT seeks to attract the best applicants able to meet the academic standards of the institution, and reserves the right to choose the best candidates for each major based on their past academic records as well as English Language Proficiency (for the majors which require that). We accept holders of all accredited High School certificates such as Thanaweya Amma, IGCSE, American Diploma, Abitur, International Baccalaureate and other High School certificates from Arab and Foreign Countries. All certificates are evaluated based on the requirements defined by the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
Since some programs require the completion of certain courses in the High School certificate, you need to discuss these requirements with the Admission Office in the Arab Academy.
All applicants must sit for the English Placement Exam or submit an official copy of TOEFL/IELTS exam.
Applicants who are planning to join programs, in which the medium of instruction is the English Language, are required to fulfill a certain score in the exam. Applicants who fail to meet the specified criteria may attend the preparatory course offered before reattempting the exam.
On the other hand, the applicants who are planning to join the Arabic Section in any major will be accepted regardless of their score, but will be given one preparatory course in English.
AASTMT aims to accept the best candidates who will make use of the outstanding academic standards and resources provided by the institution. We will evaluate each application with care and consideration, and it is worth mentioning that meeting the admission requirements does not mean that the applicant is accepted.
AASTMT will accept the best candidates for each major based on their academic records as well as their achievements in extracurricular activities.
Admissions Decision is announced on https://aastmtic2.aast.edu/tansik/.
Students who have withdrawn from AASTMT or took an unplanned leave of absence may apply to be re-admitted during 4 semesters from leaving the institution (ie 2 academic years). Re-admission applications are not automatically approved and AASTMT reserves the right to reject any application. Re-admitted students will be required to pay the tuition fees for new students in the current semester.
Applicants who have successfully completed courses in an accredited university in Egypt or abroad may apply to join AASTMT as transfer students. They are required to submit an official transcript and course descriptions to the Deanery of Admissions and Registration before the Admissions deadline. The concerned academic department will evaluate the applicant's records and may consider transferring courses in which the applicant have scored at least C (equivalent to unconditional pass in institutions that do not follow the Credit Hour System) after reviewing the course content. Students must study 50% at least of the total number of credits required for graduation at AASTMT. The courses transferred will be deducted from the total number of credits required for the program but will be listed as TR courses and will not affect the student's GPA.
The admission decision is totally separate from transfer of courses. Applicants must fulfill AASTMT admission requirements to be accepted as transfer students regardless of the number of credit hours successfully completed at any other institution. The numbers of years spent at the previous institution are included in the maximum number of years of study allowed for each program.
Students enrolled in accredited universities in Egypt and abroad are allowed to enroll as visiting students. They are allowed to spend maximum 2 semesters (or 36 credits hours) as visiting students and will be given a transcript of courses completed at AASTMT with the corresponding grades.
Those students may opt to apply to become fulltime students, but are required to pass through the regular admissions cycle. AASTMT reserves the right to reject any application based on High School grades or past academic records at previous institution(s).
