Hazem Hassan was born in Egypt on December 13th, 1966. He has been a professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering Department – AASTMT Cairo Campus- since January 2002. He received the Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Kuwait University, Kuwait, in May 1987. He received his MSc in Electrical Engineering (Electrophysics: Physical Electronics) and DSc. (Systems and Circuits) from The George Washington University, Washington DC, USA in December 1990 and August 1993 respectively. He joined the faculty of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at AASTMT in September 1993. In October 2002 He became Associate Dean of the college of Engineering – Cairo Campus- for Student Affairs. In September 2006 He became the Chairman of Electronics and Communication Engineering department- Cairo Campus- then in April 2011 he became the Dean of Education and Research - Cairo Campus-. In December 2012 He became the Director of AASTMT Smart Village Campus.In March 2014 He became the Director of AASTMT Misr Algadida Campus. His research interests are integrated circuits and systems and Microelectromechanical Systems.
