Course Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the principles of SUPPLY BOATS operations, including maneuvering, towing, and escorting
  • Gain proficiency in handling SUPPLY BOATS
  • Learn safety protocols during tug operations, including emergency response and evacuation procedures.
  • Understand the risks associated with towing and how to mitigate them
  • Ensure stability during towing, pushing, and OPERATION
  • Familiarize with international regulations (e.g., SOLAS, COLREGs) relevant to OSV handling

Objectives

  • At the end of the course, the trainees will be able to handle and maneuver the supply boat with high skill and will have a good knowledge of different offshore activities like berthing/Unberthing in the harbor, operations with rigs, barges and platforms. Towing and Anchor Handling will be objects of the course.
