Mechanical Engineering

Mechatronics Major

In the department of Mechanical Engineering, we focus on the Mechatronics major where the student studies the world's most attractive fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics. Our student masters the fundamentals of mechanical systems and implements smart technologies using embedded systems and programming skills.

We make Robots!

Our students can mechanically build and competently program multi-functional robots such as industrial, line-tracking, cleaning, stair climbing, and soccer playing robots.

Self-driving cars all their all-time fun project where they develop autonomous lane changing, self-braking, self-steering, self-parking, and driver assistance systems. This is applied using advanced Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) algorithms.

They can also create humanoid robots like the famous Sophia, using advanced Reinforcement Learning (RL) algorithms.

Market & Career
Opportunities

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer

Millions of job vacancies are now open in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Our Mechatronics Engineering graduates are able to develop and implement AI models to solve real-world mechanical-related problems, such as fault diagnosis, predictive maintenance, and smart cities.

  • Robotics Engineer

Humanoid robots (e.g. Sophia) are now taking over many jobs. They can guide people to specific locations, climb stairs, and play soccer. Robots can also perform high-risk tasks instead of us. They can lift heavy loads, clean hard-to-reach areas, and move hazardous and explosive products. Furthermore, automation nowadays exist in every factory, supply chain, and production line. Our Mechatronics Engineering graduates studied the required embedded systems and control systems that makes them able to work in all these worldwide trending jobs.

  • Automotive Technology Engineer

Autonomous and Electric Vehicles (EV) are gradually replacing traditional gasoline vehicles. Our Mechatronics Engineering graduates own a strong knowledge to build, develop, and maintain EVs and self-driving cars.
