Prof. Abeer M. Refky M. Seddeek is currently the Dean of the College Language and Communication College (CLC), Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). She is also director of the Postgraduate Studies Programme in Applied Linguistics, a joint programme with Alexandria University, approved by the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt, since 2013. She is currently holding the position of reviewer, editor and member of the advisory board in three scientific international journals. Prof. Seddeek worked as the Dean of the Institute for Language Studies (ILS) at AASTMT from Nov. 2011 till Oct. 2016. Her job responsibilities entail supervising all the courses taught at the CLC (Alexandria) and updating them. She is particularly interested in English, American and Irish literature as well as Translation. She has a teaching experience of 30 years teaching a variety of courses in English literature, research methods, translation, essay writing and writing for media. Prof. Seddeek teaches a number of postgraduate courses such as Stylistics, Academic Research Writing and Intercultural Communication in the CLC. She teaches a Seminar in Behavioural Sciences (in Arabic and English) in the College of Management and Technology as well as a course on Organization Theory and Design in Graduate School for Business.
