Osama Tolba is a professor at the department of architecture and environmental design, Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport, Cairo – Egypt. Following a first degree in Architecture (Alexandria University 1983, Egypt) Osama undertook a Master’s in Landscape Architecture (University of Pennsylvania 1992, USA). Osama’s PhD research (MIT 2001, USA) focused on the use of computer graphics in the early stages of design. The work involved authoring a drawing tool that relies on the perspective projection system. Osama is interested in teaching landscape studies courses for both graduate and under-graduate students as well as architectural design courses.
