Dr. Captain / Ahmed Magdy Abd El Wahed Khedr, a distinguished Egyptian naval officer. Born on September 9, 1973, in the vibrant city of Cairo, Egypt, has navigated a distinguished career in the Egyptian Navy, embodying dedication, leadership, and a passion for the seas. In 1995, i was graduated with distinction from the prestigious Egyptian Navy Naval College, achieving a remarkable "very good" grade. This academic achievement laid the groundwork for a trajectory marked by excellence and commitment to service. Having joined the Egyptian Naval Forces in 1991, embarked on a 29-year journey that showcased my exceptional skills both at sea and onshore. With 20 years of practical underway sea sailing experience, including a noteworthy three-year tenure as the Captain of an Egyptian Navy Destroyer, i demonstrated a keen understanding of naval operations and leadership. Throughout my career, roles such as Assistant Head of Navigation Department On/Offshore and Chief Officer On/Offshore in the Egyptian Navy Frigates brigade underscored his ability to navigate the complexities of naval operations with precision and strategic acumen. In a pivotal role as the Head of Navigation & Hydrographic Surveying Division at the Egyptian Navy Naval College in Alexandria, i did not only contributed to the education of future naval officers but also provided invaluable mentorship, leaving an enduring impact on the institution. In 2020, after nearly three decades of dedicated service, i made the decision to retire, marking the end of a storied naval career. This decision was a testament to my commitment to duty and a desire to pass on the torch to the next generation of naval leaders. leaving behind a legacy of leadership, resilience, and a profound love for the seas. The journey from the Egyptian Navy Naval College to the helm of a destroyer, and finally to the position of Head of Navigation & Hydrographic Surveying Division, reflects a career characterized by unwavering dedication and an indomitable spirit.
