Mr. Ahmed Kassem is an academic professional, a PhD candidate, and a researcher at the University of Duisburg - Essen in the Logistics Engineer department. He also works as a senior assistant lecturer in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management department and assists with EU research projects. He holds certifications in SAP ERP and Customizing, SAP CRM Applications and Customizing, and a Higher FIATA diploma in Supply Chain Management trainer. He has experience in both the industrial and academic fields, where he has provided IT-related solutions and troubleshooting. He has also managed the logistics of a family-owned business. Mr. Kassem’s research focuses on proposing an integrated model for sustainable medicine supply chain management. This model aims to improve the coordination and efficiency of logistics and related activities by integrating new technology. His current research interests include logistics and supply chain optimization, Supply Chain Digitization, Sustainable Supply Chain, And Circular Economy. In terms of teaching, Mr. Kassem has taught a range of courses including Computer Science, Logistics Operation Management, e-Logistics, e-Business, Retail Management, Customer Relationship Management, Logistics Information Systems, Information Technology, Simulation Modeling in Logistics, and Supply Chain Modeling. He also designed and implemented a Course Tracking System to monitor compliance with teaching requirements, course evaluations, and educational progress.
