biography

Nahla A.Belal obtained her B. Sc. in Computer Engineering in 2002 from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport(AAST). She worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from September 2002 till she received her M.Sc. in Computer Engineering in 2005. After that she worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Computer Science Department of the College of Computing and Information Technology (AAST). From 2006 to 2011, she pursued her Ph.D. in Computer Science with Bioinformatics option from Virginia Tech. She received her degree early in 2011. She got appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science department, College of Computing and Information Technology, AASTMT, from June 2011 till October 2017. Nahla also held the head of quality assurance unit at the college from January 2017 till January 2019. She is now an Associate Professor and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs in Smart Village branch.
