Description/Outcomes	This course is a part of the “Pharmaceutical Care Cluster II”. It is designed to provide the students with training in handling common minor conditions seen at the pharmacy through prescribing over the counter (OTC) drugs in the area of gastrointestinal, urogenital, and skeletal, respiratory, ophthalmic neurological disorders. Through lectures, simulated laboratory activities, case scenarios, and individual student work, aspects of patient assessment and triage, information retrieval and communication, product distribution, and collaboration with healthcare professionals are reinforced within the context of providing adequate pharmaceutical care via patient education, therapy planning, and monitoring.
arabic Description/Outcomes	هذا المقرر هو جزء من "الرعاية الصيدلية - المجموعة الثانية". وهي مصممة لتزويد الطلاب بالتدريب للتعامل مع حالات طفيفة متعارف عليها في الصيدلية من خلال وصف الادوية التي على الرف (علاج بدون وصفة طبية) (OTC) لعلاج الجهاز الهضمي، البولي التناسلي، والهيكل العظمي والجهاز التنفسي والاضطرابات العصبية في العيون. من خلال محاضرات وأنشطة معملية محاكاة, سيناريوهات للحالة، وعمل كل طالب على حدة، جوانب تقييم المريض والفرز، واسترجاع المعلومات والاتصالات، وتوزيع المنتجات، وبالتعاون مع المتخصصين في الرعاية الصحية وتتعزز في إطار توفير الرعاية الصيدلانية الكافية عن طريق تثقيف المرضى، وتخطيط العلاج رصده.
