Description/Outcomes | The course introduces the students to define micromeritics, and methods for determining the particle size. The course also aims at providing the students with a broad knowledge on the various types of excipients and additives used in preparation of different solid dosage forms and their effect on dosage form dissolution and in-vitro possible drug/excipients interactions. It also describes the principles and techniques involved in the formulation, and manufacturing of solid dosage forms including powders, granules, tablets (Chewable, coated, effervescent, buccal and sublingual), capsules (Hard and soft gelatin capsule) and suppositories and multiparticulate system such as pellets and minitablets.
