Description/Outcomes	This course aims at providing students with necessary information related to different factors affecting the performance of various drug dosage forms in vitro and in vivo. The course also delivers specialized knowledge that is essential to understand the concept of bioavailability and bioequivalence. The students are exposed to the different mathematical models describing these processes together with the significance of a certain behavior pattern. Several exercises are used to hone the students’ skills in evaluating the exchangeability of a number of alternatives and assessing the impact of the exchange on the patient’s condition.
arabic Description/Outcomes	يهدف هذا المقرر إلى تزويد الطلبة بالمعلومات الضرورية المتعلقة بالعوامل المختلفة التي تؤثر على أداء مختلف أشكال المستحضرات الصيدلية في التجارب المعملية و الحيوية. كما يوفر المعرفة المتخصصة التي لا غنى عنها لفهم مفهوم الإتاحة الحيوية والتكافؤ الحيوي. ويتعرض الطلاب للنماذج الرياضية المختلفة التى تصف هذه العمليات جنبا إلى جنب مع أهمية وجود نمط سلوك معين. وتستخدم العديد من التدريبات لصقل مهارات الطلاب في تقييم تبادل عدد من البدائل وتقييم أثر التبادل على حالة المريض.
