| Description/Outcomes | This course is a part of the “Patient Care Cluster III†dealing with the characteristics and use of drugs intended for infectious diseases. It is designed to provide students with the essential therapeutic knowledge, principles and concepts needed for providing pharmaceutical care to patients suffering from infectious diseases. Emphasis will be placed on integrating epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, treatment options and guidelines, disease state management including the rationale of drug therapy selection, as well as addressing drug therapy related problems. |
