Description/Outcomes	This course is a part of the “Patient Care Cluster V” dealing with the characteristics and use of drugs intended for modulation of the immune system, treatment of immune disorders, together with immune-based cancer therapy. It provides the students with detailed knowledge of the gross and molecular mechanisms involved in the production of an immune response. The different situations were an aberration leads to an abnormal outcome causing an autoimmune disorder or a malignancy are discussed. The potential mechanism of action of different medications used for these disorders are reviewed together with their side effects and interactions.
arabic Description/Outcomes	هذا المقرر هو جزء من "رعاية المرضى - المجموعة الخامسة" يتعامل مع خصائص واستخدام الأدوية المعدة لتعديل نظام المناعة، وعلاج الاضطرابات المناعية، جنبا إلى جنب مع علاج السرطان اعتمادا على العلاج المناعى. المقرر يوفر للطلاب معرفة تفصيلية للآليات الجسيمة والجزيئية التى تشارك في إنتاج استجابة مناعية. ويناقش المقرر الحالات المختلفة التى تؤدي إلى نتائج غير طبيعية و تسبب اضطراب المناعة الذاتية أو الخبيثة. ويتم مراجعة آلية عمل الأدوية المختلفة المستخدمة لهذه الاضطرابات و آثارها الجانبية وتفاعلاتها.
