Description/Outcomes	This course is a part of “Biomolecule Activity Cluster”. It provides the students with the knowledge of the basic principles of pharmacology, pharmacodynamics (general and molecular aspects) and pharmacokinetics. Concepts of agonism, antagonism, and modulation of receptor activity are reviewed together with a general overview of the different potential interventions with the of various neurotransmitters and humoral mediators as examples of mechanisms of drug action. Practical exercises aim to help students apply this acquired knowledge using selected in-vitro animal models as well as simulation techniques.
arabic Description/Outcomes	هذا المقرر هو جزء من "مجموعة نشاط الجزيء الحيوي". لأنها توفر للطلاب المعرفة بالمبادئ الأساسية في علم الصيدلة، والعلوم الدوائية (العامة والجوانب الجزيئية) وحركة وديناميكية الدواء . تتم مراجعة مفاهيم التحولي، العداء، وتعديل من نشاط المستقبلات جنبا إلى جنب مع لمحة عامة عن التدخلات المحتملة المختلفة مع وظيفة مختلف الناقلات العصبية ووسطاء الخلطية كأمثلة على آليات عمل الدواء. وتهدف التدريبات العملية لمساعدة الطلاب على تطبيق هذه المعرفة المكتسبة باستخدام اختيار نماذج حيوانية في المعامل وكذلك تقنيات المحاكاة.
