Description/Outcomes | This course aims at providing the student with an overview of the quality management that is undergoing rapid changes and enhance the student’s awareness of the vital role quality plays in the continuous drive to improve organizational effectiveness especially in logistics service sector. The course also covers the concepts, tools and techniques used in the management and measurement of quality, productivity, and competitiveness in an internal & external environment. It focuses on how firms add value and compete with quality. Topics include major principles of Quality Management, customer focus, continuous improvement, employee involvement, and process improvement. The course uses case studies and a project to gain knowledge in implementing quality management principles. |
