    1. Development of interdisciplinary VET-Eng projects that engage both engineering and vocational competencies

    1. Transfer good practice for equal access across EU and North Africa. Learn from the legacy of SWING & MUSE projects and add the knowledge and expertise.

    3. Build on the handbook and model designed in SWING with lessons learned and new knowledge to formulate new training.

    An Innovative Solar powered Water Desalination System using fibre membranes (Solar-Water)

    1. Develop and deploy an innovative small-scale, low-energy, low-cost solar-powered desalination system.
    2. Provide fresh water from saline and brackish water for commercial and household use.
    3. Utilize a hybrid psychrometric energy process with a new membrane heat exchanger for efficient energy recycling.
    4. Enable operation with thermal solar systems or PV-powered heat pump systems.
    5. Deliver up to 50 liters of fresh water per day per m² of PV panel, with a payback period under 2 years.
    6. Offer a sustainable water solution for rural and coastal populations in Egypt and similar regions.
    7. Capitalize on Egypt’s solar energy potential to develop cost-effective desalination technology.
    8. Create new business opportunities, markets, and jobs in manufacturing, water treatment, and desalination.

    Smart wireless sensor network to detect and purification water salinity and pollution for agriculture irrigation (SMARTWATIR).

    The prototypes created for water quality monitoring will be used to control de wastewater treatment plant performance and to detect pollution in the demonstration sites of Madrid (Spain) & Alexandria (Egypt).

    The PI from Egypt is Alexandria Univ and the co-PI is the AASTMT.

    Region - FishAqu

    1. Design FishAqu master program that integrated with the EU education and research systems to establish international standards of academic knowledge;
    2. To implement the new Collaboration Platform for learning and academic environment
    3. Involve researchers and practitioners into communication and to establish their joint participation in the educational process and research;
    4. Train the participated academic staff to use FishAqu master program new technology;

    1. To map needs and requirements related to traceability and authenticity control systems in the countries involved
    2. To implement a traceability model based on block chain technology able to reduce food fraud vulnerabilities, to shorten the supply chains and to decrease the commercialization costs;
    3. To develop a Web-based Platform divided in modules
    4. To explore the role of a third-party certification body for applying the “Voluntary Scheme of Traceability (VST) of MED foods” as a future standard for traceability and authentication
    5. To train selected key local stakeholders and end-users for testing the new control system developed (mock-ups)

    Technological Transfer for Logistics Innovation in Mediterranean area - TECHLOG

    1. Strengthen academia–industry ties in the EU-Med transport and port sector through joint Technology Transfer Initiatives (TTIs).
    2. Establish a Cross-Border Mediterranean Open Lab (CBMOL) to promote and share TTIs across research centers and transport communities.
    3. Operate two thematic Living Labs (East & West Mediterranean) as collaborative hubs for developing and testing TTIs using open innovation.
    4. Develop common TTIs and training protocols that can be extended to driver licensing agencies.
