The Cultural and Social Activities Department at Abu Qir, under the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, organized a blood donation campaign from April 27th to 30th, 2026. This initiative reflects the Deanship's commitment to promoting community engagement and instilling the values of giving and humanitarian work among students.The campaign witnessed a large turnout and active participation from the Academy's students, who were eager to donate blood with a strong sense of humanity and genuine responsibility towards the community. This demonstrated the awareness of the Academy's youth and their belief in the importance of supporting others and contributing to saving the lives of patients in need of blood, without any direction or obligation, but rather driven by a genuine desire to give back.The Deanship of Student Affairs emphasized that blood donation campaigns are among the most prominent forms of community engagement that the Cultural and Social Activities Department is keen to implement regularly each semester. These campaigns play a vital role in supporting blood banks and serving the community, in addition to strengthening the values of belonging and human solidarity among students. The campaign was held under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and with the guidance and follow-up of Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalifa, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. At the conclusion of the campaign, the Deanship of Student Affairs expressed its sincere appreciation and pride in its students for their positive and effective participation, affirming that this exemplary model reflects the true character of the Academy's youth and their national and humanitarian role in serving the community.
